LGO Curry 2's Care Pack dropoff for newly injured SCI survivor Denilson

It was a pleasure to visit Alameda County Medical Center to drop-off an LGO Care Pack to my new buddy Denilson. Denilson was recently affected by senseless gun violence which has led him to a C-7 level complete spinal-cord injury. As a fellow survivor of senseless gun violence, my heart went out to Denilson and his family and the harships they will overcome in the future. I wish I have instilled some hope and inspiration to Denilson as he is a hard working, big hearted, 18 year-old young man striving to get back into school. He is nearing the end of his in-patient physical therapy program and will heading home soon.

Living with paralysis, you are taught to wear a single shoe size larger than before to ensure the bloodflow to the feet doesn't cut off. Words that truly pushed me to pursue my dreams to walk again was a quote from the bible that Stephen Curry cites on his signature shoes, "I CAN DO ALL THINGS." So today I surprised Denilson with a pair for brand new Stephen Curry shoes with the famous line written on them to encourage Denilson on his new journey. We also hooked Denilson up with tons of LGO gear for him to rock and represent the movement.

Denilson will be one of the many SCI survivors we will now be supporting in the future through your generous contributions to the Life Goes On Foundation.
